For Xhibition, Lyndall Fitzgerald turned her hand to film making for the first time, taking as her subject local Moseley legend Pete the Feet – a warm and fascinating interviewee.
Her interview with Pete was shot by Ian McCormick and they edited it together – the results being shown on the Moseley Exchange building as part of the Xhbition event. Since then its finding a new life on the internet.
Aaâ€™shiq Al Rasul are classically trained singers / percussionists who perform an impressive repertoire of contemporary / traditional nasheeds in Arabic, Urdu and English.
Their debut album â€˜Blessed Mustafa’ received great critical acclaim and was soon followed by â€˜Divine Lights’, the group’s excellent rendition of the Asma ul-Husna, or Beautiful Names of God. â€˜The Chosen One’ went on to further develop their distinctive sound â€“ a combination of rousing, powerful vocals backed by exciting live percussion.
